This month, we extend a warm welcome to Jaylee Simpson, who has joined WhyHR as an HR assistant.
As the newest member of our team, Jaylee works closely with our HR consultants in supporting their clients. In that capacity, she runs background checks, generates offer letters and job descriptions, assists in preparing I-9 forms, and aids in many other tasks within the scope of human resources services that we provide.
“I love HR, and I love to help people,” Jaylee said. “I’m super excited to join the team and gain additional knowledge and experience about human resources.”
Jaylee attended the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated with a bachelor’s degrees in management and human resources management. During her time at UCO, she was involved with the HR Leadership Group and the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society, which is the local chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). While attending UCO, she had an internship with the university and later a full-time position as a payroll specialist.
A passion for helping people led Jaylee to her interest in human resources. After knowing several women who were scared to reach out to HR after discrimination or sexual harassment in the workplace, Jaylee knew she wanted to help empower employees to speak up. She’s passionate about making human resources more accessible for people and ensuring that people view HR as a helpful resource for them.
When she’s not working, Jaylee loves hanging out with her family and friends.
