We are thrilled to announce that Jaylee Simpson is back on the whyHR team.
Jaylee originally joined the whyHR team in 2022 as an HR assistant before pursuing additional experience in a corporate HR environment. After serving as an HR coordinator at Tinker Federal Credit Union, she recently returned to whyHR as an HR generalist and brings fresh perspectives and deeper experience to her role.
A desire to help people remains central to Jaylee’s passion for human resources. She believes HR should be a resource employees can trust and turn to for guidance, support, and solutions.
In her role as an HR generalist, Jaylee supports clients across a broad range of human resources functions. Her responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding employees, conducting background checks, assisting with employee relations, supporting workplace investigations, and developing employee handbooks and workplace policies.
Jaylee holds bachelor’s degrees in management and human resources management from the University of Central Oklahoma, where she was involved with both the HR Leadership Group and the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society, the local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She began building her HR experience through an internship at UCO before moving into a full-time payroll specialist position. Today, she brings nearly four years of HR experience to the whyHR team.
Her experience in both outsourced and corporate HR environments has given her a broader understanding of the challenges businesses face and the importance of balancing organizational goals with employee needs.
Outside of work, Jaylee enjoys spending time with family and friends and recently launched her own photography business. She photographs families, engagements, seniors, and weddings, which allows her to channel her creativity to connect with people and celebrate their important moments.
