New Employee Spotlight: Brittney Belden

Oct 10, 2024 | HR for Small Business

We’re thrilled to introduce Brittney Belden as our new HR Assistant at WhyHR! With a strong background in recruiting and a passion for human resources, Brittney brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the team. She’s excited to dive deeper into HR consulting, support our clients, and make a difference in the field.

As an HR Assistant, Brittney plays a key role in supporting our consultants and clients. One area of focus is employee onboarding — handling offer letters, job descriptions, background checks, and more. Brittney enjoys making sure new employees are smoothly integrated into their roles, and she’s looking forward to taking on even more responsibilities as she grows in her position.

Reflecting on her professional experience, Brittney shared, “I love having experience on both the candidate and client sides of the process. It’s interesting to see how each organization approaches HR differently, and that’s what makes consulting so exciting. No two clients are the same, and there’s always something new to learn.”

Brittney’s journey into HR started with her degree in sociology from Oklahoma State University. Initially, she considered a career in social work or therapy but found herself drawn to recruiting and the opportunity to help connect talented candidates with the right roles. She quickly realized that HR wasn’t just about recruiting; it was about understanding people and how organizations can support their teams.

While Brittney has a passion for onboarding and the recruitment process, she’s especially excited to explore other aspects of HR, like investigations. “The investigations aspect of HR involves piecing together information to find solutions,” she said. “It feels like an extension of my sociology background to help people and advocate for everyone involved.”

When she’s not at work, Brittney enjoys staying active with her fiancé, who is a nurse. She’s an avid fan of Oklahoma State University football, so you’ll often find her cheering from the stands during football season.

Brittney’s eagerness to learn and her dedication to helping others make her a fantastic addition to the WhyHR team. She’s looking forward to continuing her growth in HR and finding ways to support our clients, whether through onboarding, investigations, or general HR support.

We’re proud to have Brittney on board and can’t wait to see the positive impact she will make for our clients.
